- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Mr. Zernich was my first attorney for my case which has so far gone on for almost 13 years on and off. He filed my request for relocation and it went well. Down the line however, the case got extremely complicated and I was asked for a $5,000 addition to my retainer. I had just sold a home and had the money and came in to pay it when suddenly he changed his mind and now asked for $10,000. I had that much also, but based on what I perceived as a shady change-in-deal, I decided to drop him. It is a shame too, the complexity of the case would have given him much experience, including the hiring of specialized expert witnesses and re-evaluations of Child Custody reports, resulting in their dismissal. In all, I have spent about $40,000 on this case so far and Mr. Zernich only saw the tip of that before I dismissed him.By Robert B, June 23, 2017
